Being a triathlete I never race in socks - well maybe I will be when I step up to ironman distance, but thats not just yet!
So why would socks be so important to me. Well its simple - if my feet are not in good shape before I race then I am likely to get blisters and/or sore feet which will slow me down. I dont race in socks purely for a speed factor as having to put them on after a swim will slow me down - however when training I always wear them. The Falke socks I have been using recently have been brilliant - I like the thickness which provides support and cushioning but also allows my feet to breath. Not only have I been impressed with them while running, I have used them on the bike and for day to day activities. The correct sock is very important for the health of your feet and making sure they are structured correctlly for each foot and designed with Left and Right sides is a great advantage to any sports person.
I will continue to wear mine and prepare my feet for racing.
