Chart for Sized Socks
Sized socks are common all over Europe and Asia, while the "one size fits all" approach to socks is prevalent
to the US.
Sized Socks for comfortable feet
Socks should be snug and not too loose. But if they are too small they will be uncomfortable and will wear off
much faster. Quality socks are normally sized. Shaped socks are even more comfortable and supportive. Shaped socks
are more common and important in sport socks. They are, however also, available
for everyday use, eg. from FALKE socks.
The following chart compares international shoe and socks sizes for Men from Europe and Japan, the UK and US.
Australia uses the same sizes ad the UK.

Notes
In the US, each whole shoe size differs by 1/3 of an inch. In Europe, whole shoe sizes differ by 2/3 of a centimeter
(about 1/4 of an inch). This makes the association between US and European shoe sizes harder. Shoe and socks sizes for
men and women in Europe are the same. In the US, however, a woman's shoe is about 1 to 1-1/2 sizes greater than the same
length men's shoe.
Women's sizes
UK and Australia: women's sizes are half a size larger than men's, i.e. Men's size 10 corresponds with Women's
size 10½
US: women's sizes are 1½ sizes larger than men's
Japan: women's sizes are half a size smaller than mens.
